At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to work with a leading sports retailer in Rochdale. This role involves essential warehouse duties, including picking and packing customer orders, managing stock, and using handheld scanners to ensure accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Patterns

• 4 on, 4 off rotation
• 12-hour shifts, either 06:00-18:00 or 06:30-18:30, including weekends

Pay Rates

• 12.81 GBP hourly

Essential Requirements for Warehouse Operative

• Reliable and punctual with the ability to commit to a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern
• Proficient in spoken and written English to understand safety guidance and instructions
• Basic numeracy skills (e.g., if you have 50 items and pick 12, how many remain?)
• Comfortable with manual handling, including standing, walking, and lifting
• Ability to follow instructions on a handheld scanner and work safely in a fast-paced environment

Desirable Requirements for Warehouse Operative

• Basic numeracy suitable for warehouse tasks, such as counting quantities and performing simple addition and subtraction
• Ability to read and interpret information on a handheld scanner
• Strong team player who communicates effectively with colleagues and supervisors
• Ability to maintain focus and accuracy while completing repetitive tasks in a target-driven environment
