At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a CNC operator to work with a leading precision engineering company in Altrincham. You will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality components.

Shift patterns

• Alternating weeks: one week of day shifts (6am-6pm) followed by one week of night shifts (6pm-6am).
• 46-hour paid week with a 30-minute unpaid break.
• Salary is paid on a weekly basis.

Pay rates

• 14.88 GBP hourly

Essential requirements for CNC operator

• Experience with Fanuc-based CNC Lathe machines (e.g., DOOSAN, HAAS, OKUMA).
• Ability to read and understand G-codes and M-codes.
• Proficiency with manual precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Experience with automated measuring systems including CMM and shadowgraphs.

Role tasks for CNC operator

• Set up, program, and operate CNC machines, primarily lathes and basic 5-axis mills.
• Load raw materials into machinery and monitor the machining process for accuracy.
• Perform regular quality inspections to ensure parts meet strict technical specifications.
• Adjust tools as necessary to maintain production standards.
