At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Production Operative Grade 1 to work with a leading paper product manufacturing company in Gosport. You will play a key role in ensuring the maximum effectiveness of manufacturing equipment, performing fault finding, and contributing to a high-performing team environment.

Shift patterns

• 3x Day shift, 2x off, 2x night shift, 3x off.
• Please note that shift patterns may vary based on operational demand.

Pay rates

• 12.71 GBP hourly

Must-have requirements for Production Operative Grade 1

• Able to work shift work days and nights.

Desirable requirements for Production Operative Grade 1

• Previous Manufacturing or Production experience.
• BTEC National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Relevant NVQ qualification.
• Experience working with special purpose machinery.
• PC literate.
• Proven experience in mechanical equipment fault finding and rectification.
• Ability to work independently.
• Target driven and organised.
• Proactive approach to tasks.
• Flexible in terms of tasks undertaken.
• Good communication skills.
• Capable of building and maintaining good working relationships as a team member.

Role for Production Operative Grade 1

• Ensure maximum effectiveness of all paper product manufacturing equipment.
• Perform fault finding and rectify issues where possible and within capability.
• Notify the engineering department when issues are outside of your remit.
• Overcome minor technical issues that limit operational equipment effectiveness.
• Make recommendations to improve overall production efficiency.
• Work collaboratively within a team to maximise production output.
