Introduction

At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to work with a leading logistics company in Pinchbeck. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high vehicle standards.

Shift Patterns

• Operating 7 days a week, with flexible start times across days, afternoons, and nights.

Pay Rates

• 15.30 GBP hourly

Essential Requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence (C+E)
• Digital Tachograph Card + CPC (Driver Qualification)
• 12+ Months Minimum Class 1 Driving Experience
• No More than 6 points on Licence (Including DR, DD, IN, TT)

Skills and Qualifications

• Previous Class 1 driving experience (6+ months preferred)
• Experience with RDC, trunking, and store deliveries
• Familiarity with curtainsiders, refrigerated units, and box trailers
• Good knowledge of UK road network and major distribution centres
• Experience completing PODs, delivery paperwork, or handheld scanners
• Strong customer service skills when dealing with site staff or clients
• Experience with manual handling and safe loading/unloading
• Strong focus on road safety and vehicle checks
• Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work well as a team player

Role Responsibilities

• Transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations
• Performing daily vehicle checks and ensuring road safety
• Completing delivery paperwork, PODs, and using handheld scanners
• Loading and unloading goods using safe manual handling techniques
• Maintaining a professional attitude and representing the company at all times
